This Tumblr is a photo journal. Please direct future theme questions to my Formspring; otherwise, ask with your Tumblr URL.
Anonymous asked: “Hi, I’m using the Spin Madly theme of yours and I was wondering if it is possible to change the picture (the tree) to something of your own, and how would I do this? Thank you! Love your themes :)”
Thanks! I already answered this before; here was my solution to that. :)
Anonymous asked: “Hi! I’m using your Spin Madly On Theme and it’s beyond brilliant. Thanks for sharing! :) However, I want to tweak it a bit, particularly the size of the photos in the text post and photo post. I tried adjusting it in the custom html, but it still wont work. Would you mind helping a stranger out? If yes, thank you VERY VERY MUCH. :) Your photos are fantastic btw :)”
Tweaking the size of the photos would affect the width of the entire theme, so I hope you’re fine with that. Basically, just go to the HTML and find everything in the code that says “max-width: 500px” and change “500px” into any width you like, for example, “600px.” Then, find the part that says {PhotoURL-500} (about halfway into the codes). Change that to {PhotoURL-HighRes}. Update the preview to check if everything’s fine. :)
Anonymous asked: “Your latest concert photos have this sort of “matte-like finish to them. I don’t really know how to describe it..how do you do that? what’s your editing process?”
What do you mean by “matte?” I never noticed that. But I never notice most of the things people point out in my photos anyway. :P If it helps, I use Photoshop and play with the Contrast, Curves, and the black and white points in Levels. Thennn, I don’t know, sometimes I desaturate just a bit (around -5 to -15?). But it all really depends on the photo.
