Q&A
Anonymous asked: I wish you all the luck for living alone and being independent! :) May I ask why do you need to move out alone and be in Seattle?
Thank you! It’s for work. I was to pick out a state where I would like to be licensed at. California was making a big fuss over the requirements so I scratched it out of the options—and thank God for that. I don’t like the heat. Washington was my actual love since, well, being in Seattle in 2011 made my heart leap. So here we are. :)
lulles asked: Oh, also on Cassadaga, I noticed that when I include <small> on texts in my posts, it works everywhere else but on the theme it stays the same size as normal text. Do you know why that is?
Ah, because there’s a fixed font size all throughout the theme. You can try going to the codes and pasting this above {CustomCSS}:
small { font-size: x-small; }
I tried that and it works.
Anonymous asked: I want to be a theme maker just like you but I’ve tried and I just can’t. Please tell me where I can learn to make a tumblr theme on the internet. And I think no one believes I can :’(
Learning codes is like learning a new language, only a tad bit easier. You have to take it apart, start at the basics, and move your way up—understand each element and how it works with the rest of them. If you have the drive and the want to know, learning it is going to be fun. I’ve sat next to classmates who couldn’t give a fuck during HTML class, while I was doing experiments and having a grand time. If you like it enough, it’s going to be easy.
Start with only HTML and CSS, without the purpose of making a Tumblr theme. We had a beginner’s textbook then and it was awesome because it was really black-and-white. I lost it, but I found the W3Schools website. Click “Learn HTML” and it will walk you through every basic HTML element you need to wrap your head around. Finish it like a course, all through CSS. Have a bit of JavaScript if you like.
Making a Tumblr theme is another business, though. Knowing HTML/CSS will give you just a big enough edge but you need to read and understand this while also studying other people’s themes. Install them in a demo blog, go through their codes. You’ll figure out how it’s done, how things were worked around—once you know how to read codes, it’s going to be a piece of cake. Designing a theme—it’s all trial-and-error, believe me, but a lot easier after you’ve mastered the code-reading.
Sorry that this became a novel, but yeah. And don’t pressure yourself too much. This isn’t graded. You’ve got all the time in the world to learn it. Good luck!
Anonymous asked: How did you cope from a break up?
“The best way to get over someone is to get under someone else.” It’s true. Not necessarily another guy. I busied myself with friends and family (plus a side of fling, heh) who actually care about me. I know I did the right thing and that’s enough motivation to move on. So here I am! Though there are plenty of lonely nights, that’s a very small price to pay compared to possibly a lifetime of unhappiness.
And, you know, give it time.
Anonymous asked: i used to have photoshop cs2 but i lost it since the viruses attacked my computer. i want to have it again and i really want to download it. i’ve tried to find it out on google but what i’ve got is only a trial, an error, and everything that i never expected. do you know the right link that would bring me to the photoshop again? i need it so badly pleaseeeee
You can try downloading the legal trial from Adobe and then Google for either a key generator or the license number. That’s what I did anyway.
