Q&A

Anonymous asked: My Songs Know What You Did in the Dark. :)

So light ‘em up, up, up, up.

I love you.

Anonymous asked: Hai Ate! I’m currently using plain theme by peter vidani and when i reblog something, the source and the “reblogged via” shows up below it. i find it really annoying, how to hide it? Thanks! :D

This equals to removing where the post came from, so I’m sorry I can’t help. I don’t support discrediting the original/parent source.

sopeyuuh asked: what thememaking blogs do you suggest?

Theme-making blogs? I don’t know what they are. :\

Anonymous asked: Why did you and your boyfriend call it quits?

Of course you’ve heard about Wuthering Heights? Well, everyone loves it. Everyone thinks it’s the best. They say it’s perfect.

And I tried. Nobody can say that I didn’t try. I read it through thick and thin and sure, there are times when it could hold my attention but mostly, I’m just sombre and heavy-booted. I thought, “I’m wasting my time reading this book I’m growing to hate when I could be reading something I really like.” But I pursued. I might find something.

About 20 pages left, almost there, I fell apart and abandoned it. People thought I was crazy for not liking it—I mean, it’s perfectness in paper!—and that I’ll be picking it up again in no time. But I never did, or will.

That was exactly how we were. I even told him I was “in love” with somebody else just for it all to end. I was so fucking tired.

(Sorry, is this too personal? I’m having that kind of day.)

playinspire asked: How did you get your twitter feed?

I used Sea of Clouds’ “Tweet!” Javascript plugin. I had to modify the actual .JS for it to look like that, and trust me when I say that I went through hell and back just to make that design.

Maybe I can pick up my own codes and hand it over to you, if you like.

Anonymous asked: do you think your better than your ex’s new gf?

…Not awkward, guys.

Anonymous asked: Was it the humidity on the other country or there’s a way to have that effect on your photos? I have a thing for those kinds. ♡

What, the film-like effect? I actually edit them that way; humidity has no role in it whatsoever. I shoot in RAW and use VSCO presets—fake film is just one click away.

Anonymous asked: OMG THE CARTOON HEADER IS MOVING. SO. COOL. O_O

Oh, yeah. Hahaha. Thank you, glad you liked it! It’s my first .GIF ever. Click on it and it’ll show the title text, sort of just for the “spinning world” to have more sense.

Anonymous asked: this is too cliche for me to say but im starting my own photo blog because im inspired by your works! although i’ve only got a point & shoot camera and i used BeFunky to edit and beautify my photos (im not allowed to dl photoshop or lightroom), im going to take photos and blog seriously now. it’s been a backlog plan for so long now. boo. anyway, i hope we could do the no. 33 of your bucket list together (feeling close) here in CDO, Philippines :)

Aw, I’m glad to have inspired you! I’m very touched, and it’s not cliché at all! Let me know if you do push through with your blog, would love to see it. And I was hoping to do white-water rafting in the Philippines anyway, so definitely! :)

essie23 asked: I placed the cursor at the globe then waited for something to happen.. then.. nothing… then I clicked.. then… “ang galing”. :) Nice idea!

It’s supposed to “spin” upon hover! I checked and it works on all major browsers. Tsk. But glad you like! :)

Anonymous asked: Hello Ate, I was just wondering how you managed to make your Tumblr Portrait go past the 128-pixel size? :) I want to have a sidebar like yours (the portrait part) but I can’t seem to figure out how to make it. Could you please help? Thank you so much! You’re the best :) Oh, I’m using the “Cassadaga” theme.

My profile photo is an external image. You can upload the profile photo you want on an image-hosting site, grab the URL, then in the codes, find this:

src=”{PortraitURL-128}

And replace the bold part with the URL.

Anonymous asked: Tell me how you moved on.

Are all this because it’s nearing Valentine’s? Really?

I don’t know how I did. This might sound incredibly cliché, but with the help of my friends and family, it was a bit easier. I’ve also been writing a lot. Unsent letters, diary entries—ever since high school, it’s always been like therapy. Plus if it’s really for the best, you’ll have no what-ifs.

I moved on because I chose to. It left claw marks, but they’ve been healing. I’m still in the process, so don’t put it on past tense.
